My client is a very successful and well-known independent group are now looking for a full time optometrist to work in the Walsall area.

This company offer a comprehensive sight test in a bright and clean test room.

This role would suit someone who is at least 2 years qualified who is looking to gain exposure to a wide variety patient base with the skills and experience to deal with complex and the more specialist cases.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

In this role, you will provide excellence in clinical care to your patients and work as part of a small team close knit team You will be responsible for providing eye tests, contact lens fitting, aftercare advice, maintaining accurate patient records and keeping up to date with product and professional knowledge.

You will be on hand to answer any difficult questions and share your clinical knowledge with patients and the team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position you will need to be a fully qualified optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements.

You will be hard working who is passionate about customer service and patient care.
You will have a successful career to date and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise.
WOPEC/ MECS accreditation would be desirable
You will be happy working in a single clinic with a Qualified Dispensing Optician / Store Manager.

My client has a huge amount of experience in the world of optics and can assist with any aspect of career development.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to develop their skills, which will include developing the practice and the wider company to meet the ever-changing needs of its staff and patients.

Salary on offer is £47,500 to start with projected bonus of around £5,000 per annum, AOP & GOC memberships, Bupa Healthcare and CET grant.

25 days holidays plus bank holidays.
