Trial Balance Consulting is excited to have been exclusively tasked by a highly successful and well-established client in the retail/distribution sector.

They are looking for a Financial Assistant to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role offers a hybrid arrangement, with two days working from home and the rest at a Saltash based HQ.

Reporting to an experienced Financial Controller, this role is part of a close-knit team that fosters a positive working environment.



Main responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the purchase ledger to maintain supplier accounts efficiently and communicate effectively.
  • Supporting the sales ledger, handling customer queries and managing aged debtor.
  • Performing month-end procedures for sales and purchase ledger control.
  • Managing company credit card reconciliations and staff expenses.
  • Reconciling stock supplier accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months' experience in a similar role and ideally be part or fully AAT qualified.

This role is suitable for someone early in their accounting career or enjoys ledger work and wants to be part of a fun and dynamic team.

Essential skills include excellent communication, initiative, teamwork, and IT proficiency, especially in MS Office and Excel.
