about the role

The Senior Accountant will serve as an experienced accounting professional supporting the Accounting Manager in managing the day-to-day accounting related to cash, accounts payable, and expenses for the global Platform, with an emphasis on the EMEA and APAC regions.


what you'll do

Review monthly banking and credit card transactions processed by the AP Team

Review AP vendor bills processed by the AP Team, and approve for payment

Prepare or review monthly journal entries in accordance with company accounting policies

Prepare journal entries related to non-routine transactions

Prepare or review month-end and reconciliations, roll-forwards, and schedules for prepaids, leases, fixed assets, accounts payable, credit cards, accrued expenses

Review monthly and quarterly VAT/GST receivable return inputs

Support and review regional cost allocations

Prepare Balance Sheet variance analysis by subsidiary

Review P&L transaction classification and coding

Lead in country statutory financial statement audits, accounts, and Company secretarial matters including entity set-up, bank accounts, signatories

Support the global financial statement audit

Design and implement enhanced workflows to drive process improvements and efficiencies, while maintaining best practices of internal controls

Liaison with and support the global internal operations departments, including:

FP&A with P&L budgeting and variance analysis

Legal with annual global insurance renewals

IT with additions and disposals of computers, hardware, and equipment

Assist with global accounting and company initiatives including:Transfer Pricing StudyNetSuite ERP enhancements related to optimisation and automation

Assist with management reporting and special projects as required and assigned

Training and development of direct report(s)

who you are

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 3-5 years PQE
  • Line management experience required
  • Experience working with multi-national entities in EMEA and APAC
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and best practices of cash, accounts payable, and expense accounting
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with and desire to work in a high growth environment
  • Ability to prioritise and complete tasks within assigned deadlines
  • Confidence to personally drive change and efficiencies through process improvements to current workflows
  • Exceptional problem solving/analytical skills
  • Flexibility to change course of action as new information becomes available
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, including senior management and non-financial employees
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the accounting team
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
