Description

We are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join our Outsourcing Accounting Team in our Stevenage office. You will be part of an experienced team, receiving full support and great long-term career development prospects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and Menzies Managers to prepare management accounts and supervise accounting activities.
  • Maintain accounting records, apply month-end adjustments, and complete VAT returns.
  • Undertake project work such as transitioning to cloud software and customized reporting.
  • Develop relationships with clients and internal teams to deliver excellent service.
  • Train and oversee junior colleagues to ensure high-quality work and timely completion.
  • Work with clients to optimize processes and share best practices.
  • Coordinate with other Menzies teams to provide top-notch service to clients.

The Person:

  • Pursuing or holding a relevant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Ability to apply technical accounting knowledge in practical client scenarios.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with clients regularly.
  • Demonstrate ownership of tasks when necessary.
  • Understand and take an interest in clients' business objectives and industries.
  • Support and mentor junior staff by sharing expertise.
  • Build positive relationships within Menzies and with clients.
  • Previous accounting experience in practice or industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Strong Excel skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
