The University of Chester seek to appoint an Assistant Librarian to work within Learning and Information Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver frontline services support at our Marriss House Library, Birkenhead and also get involved with assisting our transition to a new Library Management System.

Learning and Information Services are responsible for providing library services, learning resources and library learning spaces for the University. This comprises digital collections of over 800,000 ebooks, 65,000 full text journals as well as an extensive portfolio of print collections and our Open Access repository. In terms of library spaces, the Seaborne Library at the Exton Park Campus, Chester forms part of the wider library provision which includes Wheeler and Queen's Park Libraries and Kingsway Learning Resources Centre in Chester, the Guildhall Library at Shrewsbury, the Faculty of Health and Social Care Library at Birkenhead and our new town centre location in Warrington.
