Our School

More House School is a leading Catholic independent senior school for girls in the heart of Knightsbridge, where we celebrate diversity in our pupils and staff. As a small school, we foster strong relationships within our community and as a result, staff tend to stay with us long-term.

The school is ideally located on Pont Street, within easy reach of Knightsbridge and Sloane Square tubes, with many wonderful shops, restaurants, galleries, museums and theatres on our doorstep. We recently celebrated fifty years on the present site, having moved from Cromwell Road in 1971.

Class sizes are small, teaching allocations are realistic and staff wellbeing time is offered to each member of staff every term. All school staff are provided with tea and coffee, break-time snacks and a three-course lunch in the school dining room. Departments are encouraged to develop their own feedback policies that support student progress whilst being time efficient and there is one data drop at the end of each term.

The Role of Head of Religious Studies and Faith Life

More House School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Religious Studies and a leader of the Faith Life of the school from September 2024. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic leader and practising catholic with a real passion for promoting the importance of this subject both in academic lessons and across the wider activities of the school.

To lead this highly successful department, the ideal candidate will be a well-qualified graduate and an ambitious and inspirational professional with a proven track record.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of recent innovations in teaching and learning, a secure knowledge of GCSE and A Level curricula and relevant experience in terms of involvement in the co-curricular life of the school.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the strategic direction and development of faith life throughout the school and also with the RS department from September 2024.
