Opportunity to join the Waste Treatment Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Combined Heat and Power Technician to join our team. As the successful candidate, your role will involve maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of a fleet of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) spark ignition biogas engines located across various Thames Water sites.

Responsibilities as the Combined Heat and Power Technician:
  • Carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance of CHP Spark Ignition generators
  • Collaborating with support staff and suppliers for safe and efficient maintenance
  • Completing service records and reports accurately and timely
  • Identifying parts required for order, lubricants, and waste
  • Prioritizing health, safety, and wellbeing in all work aspects
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Supporting team members with on-the-job training

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification in mechanical engineering
  • Experience working with internal combustion engines
  • Familiarity with CHP systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid UK driving license
