Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that comply with curriculum standards.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning needs of all students.
- Utilise both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and development.
- Offer timely and constructive feedback, emphasising strengths and areas for improvement to guide students toward academic achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Cultivate a love for literature by exploring a variety of genres and authors.
- Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and promote digital literacy.
- Establish clear behaviour and academic expectations to maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Promote collaboration and peer interaction through group activities, cooperative learning, and inclusive discussions.
To register for supply work, you MUST meet the following criteria:
- Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
- Hold, or be willing to carry out, an enhanced DBS
- Be able to provide professional references to cover you for at least 2 years.
- Be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with the school s values at the forefront of what you are doing.
- Have good classroom management and ability to engage a diverse range of pupil abilities.
- Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile to support pupil progress
- Able to commute to South Heath and the surrounding areas
