KS2 Teacher (Secondary Transition)

Are you a passionate educator with experience in Key Stage 2? Can you provide essential support to students transitioning to Key Stage 3?

Watling Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher with KS2 experience to become a crucial part in supporting students as they transition from KS2 to KS3, particularly providing essential assistance for those with additional needs. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to plan, coordinate and deliver small group literacy and numeracy lessons, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to succeed. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with our SENDCo to implement personalised interventions for students with working below KS3 expected standards.

We welcome applications from individuals with either Qualified Teacher Status or significant experience as a HLTA. The successful applicant will be genuinely passionate about guiding students through key transitional periods and committed to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.

Watling Academy was judged as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. The Academy will have 1800 students when at full capacity. Watling Academy is part of the Denbigh Alliance MAT.
