Hydraulic Shop Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

The Hydraulic Shop Technician is responsible for testing, repairing, and overhauling various hydraulic aviation components in the Hydraulic Workshop, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Perform testing, repair, and overhaul of various hydraulic aviation components following original manufacturer manuals and instructions.

Maintain and uphold quality standards and procedures.

Establish and sustain a legally compliant and safe working environment.

Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to support customer estimate creation by the purchasing and commercial departments.

Assist in bringing in new capabilities and researching improved ways to reduce costs and turnaround time.

Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety requirements are met.

Understand and meet customer needs consistently.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Company.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Understanding of the requirements for delivering maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft components in accordance with EASA Pt 145 regulatory requirements.

Background in a hydraulic aviation environment essential, with previous experience in a similar role preferred.

Experience with both Skydrol and hydraulic oil rigs.

Proficiency in MS Office and business systems and procedures.

Ability to interpret manuals and accurately record inspection findings.

Strong planning and organizational skills.

Collaborative team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Safety-conscious with a high level of attention to detail.
