Smile Education, Northwest is now recruiting for a full-time English Teacher for a secondary school based in Rochdale and the nearby area of Buckley, Spotland, Bagslate Moor and around the city centre.

What does the role involve?
Preparing English teaching and learning materialsProviding guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careersProviding feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriateContributing to department planning and self-evaluationProviding professional support to other teachers and support staffAttending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested
What do you need?
An English-related education degreeA valid PGCE/QTSAn enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjectsAble and willing to travel to the area2 education-based referencesA passion for teachingGood approach to behaviour managementA determined, hard-working attitude
Immediate start is available.
The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year.
