Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Dunbar Education is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is a full-time position with non-negotiable terms.

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability only
  • Possession of a valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a SEN school (non-negotiable)

Responsibilities: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing support to children with various SEN needs, including ADHD, ASD, and SEMH
  • Assisting SEN pupils with their academic and social development
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create and implement individualised learning plans
  • Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Providing one-on-one support or small group instruction as needed
  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies and promoting positive behaviour
  • Monitoring and tracking pupil progress and reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting sensory and communication needs as required
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
