RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all assets on site consistently meet the compliance, EHS, and quality standards set by BASF and external regulatory bodies.
  • Drive a culture of safety among BASF employees and contractors, ensuring that safe work practices are followed at all times.
  • Define and implement an asset strategy that ensures the sustainable operation of the site, taking into account the long-term goals and objectives of the business.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing all maintenance activities on site, as well as managing the maintenance budget to ensure that costs are controlled while meeting operational needs.
  • Plan, define, and implement capital investments and plant changes through the CAPEX & OPEX process, ensuring that all projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Provide effective leadership to direct and indirect reports, ensuring that the site strategy is clear and implemented within the team. Recognise training needs and provide opportunities for team members to develop their skills.
  • Proactively share information, ideas, and solutions to meet site KPIs and drive the business forward as a member of the site leadership team. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Educated to degree level in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in maintenance management and asset care gained in operational and project engineering roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong networking and leadership ability.
  • In addition, we are looking for a proactive, highly motivated individual who will deliver solutions to optimise site/business performance.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and engineering applications.
  • Fluent English language skills are required for this role.
