The Faculty of Laws has a strong commitment to social justice education, embodied in our Centre for Access to Justice (CAJ) which was founded in 2013. The central mission for CAJ is to promote access to justice through research-led education, community activities and evidence-based policy advice. CAJ runs clinical legal education (CLE) programmes and pro bono activities with a social welfare or social justice focus.

About the role

The Projects Coordinator works closely with members of Centre to support the delivery and management of the UCL Laws Pro Bono Programme including overseeing student-led projects and the CAJ Student Pro Bono Committee (SPBC). In particular, the Projects Coordinator supports with the day to day administration of the Centre and its activities, communicates and promotes the activities of the Centre to different stakeholders, and undertake monitoring and evaluation of the Centre's projects and activities

About you

The postholder will have experience of organising their workload, working within deadlines and with competing demands. They will have the experience or ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders including students, practitioners, professionals, and academics. Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail is essential. Experience of working in a pro bono clinic, charity, NGO, CAB, law centre, or equivalent and knowledge or appreciate of access to justice issues in a UK context is desirable.
