About DIGIT

DIGIT is Scotland's leading technology media and events company. We run the largest business technology community in the country, host nine annual tech conferences, and operate a popular business technology news website.

Job Overview

The role is a Staff Writer position within our Editorial & Research Team at DIGIT.

The team reports on the latest news and developments across the technology landscape, from innovation at leading global tech firms, to local entrepreneurs and emerging Scottish start-ups. The Editorial & Research team also creates the conference programmes for all DIGIT events.

The role would involve producing news, features, and interviews for the DIGIT website; ensuring that all content is produced to a good quality and adheres to a high standard of accuracy, relevance and readability. The candidate would also assist with the research and production of events, identifying speakers and organising the content for our conferences.

The E&R team will also collaborate internally with the events department and play an active role in growing the brand and engaging with key external stakeholders from the national tech community.

Key Requirements

•\tExperience producing online or print journalism


•\tStrong proofreading and copyediting abilities


•\tExperience of research and media monitoring


•\tGood networking, communication and interpersonal skills

Hybrid working

The role and company office are based in Edinburgh. We have a hybrid working policy and the editorial team generally do a 50/50 split between in office and remote working.
