We have developed a new taught MSc Dietetics (pre-registration) programme to complement our existing academic portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate Nutrition degrees.

The new course has been developed with the involvement of key stakeholders and placement partners across a wide area surrounding Oxford.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Dietetics and Nutrition to join our academic team in the Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and Health.

Our Centre provides the home for our academic portfolio, postgraduate and applied research activities, and commercial consultancy.

The postholder will ideally hold a higher degree in Dietetics and be a Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council.

The new lecturer will undertake academic and related activities in the delivery of high-quality education in Dietetics and Nutrition, including the supervision of student research projects.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design, delivery, and leadership of practice education.

Experience required for the post:
We encourage applications for our Lecturer in Dietetics post from candidates
who have the following:

  • Background in Dietetics
  • Experience and understanding of working in the dietetics discipline
  • Experience in practice education
  • Experience in teaching at degree level
  • Evidence of research and/or audit activity
  • Suitable HE teaching qualification (or willingness to complete in post)
  • Ability to contribute to development activities
