Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for Children Support Workers for flexible working opportunities across the Ditchling and greater Ditchling area to deliver the very best standards and quality of care to Children and Young People with additional needs in the area with a focus on supporting children with SEN needs and SEMH needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a reputable and growing childrens residential services care group, providing safe, caring, and nurturing living environments for children and young people.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care and in education.


Placements Available

Supporting young people between the ages of 8 and 16 with additional needs in a residential childrens home setting.
Supporting teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18 in semi-independent accommodation.

A past placement may have broken down and an individual needs to be moved to other accommodation on a temporary basis.

Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.
Outreach support for vulnerable children and young people.

Requirements:
Must have the right to work in the UK
1 year of experience in the UK care sector supporting children and young people
Experience as a Support Worker
Driver with access to a vehicle (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. (desirable)
Position details

Location Ditchling surrounding towns and villages
Position - Support Worker (Children)
Type of work - Temporary
Start date - ASAP (Contracts have hours available immediately)
Duration - Ongoing
Full time / Part time - Full Time with varied shift patterns to suit work / life balance.

Hours - Long Days, Waking Nights, and Sleep in shifts available, We have flexible hours to match people's busy schedules.
