QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Full Time Quantity Surveyor position in Truro

Salary is between £35-£55k (DOE)

Job description

Our client is a multi award winning Company delivering major construction projects ranging in value from £1mil to £25mil for Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and developers throughout the UK. They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team. You will be working closely with the existing quantity surveying team and other internal and external stakeholders, reporting to the Commercial Director.

You will be required to carry out general Quantity Surveying on residential and commercial contracts including:

· Organising and monitoring sub-contract work packages

· Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts

· Cost/Value reporting to senior management

· Liaising with clients and attending monthly project meetings

· General cost reporting/value engineering/contract administration

· Preparation of contractual claims when necessary

· HNC/Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying

· Experience of concrete framed structures

· Proficient use of Microsoft packages e.g., Excel, Power Point and Word

· Full clean UK driving license

· Previous experience in a similar role

They are offering an extremely competitive financial package depending on experience and skills. The role is full time and permanent, working 37.5 hours per week with flexibility on start and finish times (core hours 9.00am to 14.00pm) and with 33 days annual leave (pro rata and inclusive of bank holidays).
