Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Audio Typist based at Arrol Park Resource Center, on a fixed-term/secondment basis for 12 months.

Hours:

37 hours per week working Monday to Friday


What you will do:

As a Medical Audio Typist within the Business Support Service, you will provide a comprehensive Medical Audio Typing service to the Consultant Psychiatrist's based within South Ayrshire H&SCP. You will be primarily based within Arrol Park Resource Centre, however cover will be required within Ailsa Campus at times to support service delivery.

Primary duties will include, transcription of clinical correspondence using digital dictation and processing patient results appropriately and timeously.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Experience within an Audio Typist role is essential and you should be educated to SVQ III in Business Admin or equivalent experience. You should have advanced typing skills and proven audio typing experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with a range of disciplines.

A working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare), Care Partner, Winscribe and knowledge of medical terminology is essential. Minute taking experience is advantageous to support this role.
