We are looking for experienced and ambitious Senior Project Managers to join our Customer Connections team delivering projects to connect our customers to the HV electricity transmission system. This is a leadership role where you will have full responsibility for managing, inspiring, developing and motivating your Project Managers whilst successfully delivering a challenging portfolio of projects.
As Senior Project Manager you are at the heart of delivering the Customer Connections portfolio, leading a team of Project Managers in electricity construction delivering projects such as the connection of power stations, wind farms, solar farms and battery storage – all of which will provide clean and affordable energy. Other connections could be giga factories, data centres and distribution networks, vital for our economy, technological advancement and the transition to greener transport and heat.

About youWe're looking for someone who is going to take the job personally Someone who is going to be completely committed to getting their portfolio of works delivered safely, on time and to budget. You will have a background employing project and/or contract management practice in a similar field or discipline.
You'll have strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of leading cross functional teams and a stakeholder-centric approach to delivering a high quality output. You'll be a self-starter who is good at playing devil's advocate and foreseeing potential problems. You may have experience outside of a client role as either contractor or customer.
You'll ideally have a degree or qualification in project management, engineering, business management or equivalent experience, and you will need a driving license that permits you to drive in the UK.
Training and developmentWe are keen to see our people progress and will support you in gaining the qualifications and skills you need to develop, bespoke to your needs and those of the business.
What you'll get- Salary of up to £78,000 dependent on capability

- Annual Performance Based Bonus up to 15% of your base salary
- 28 days annual leave plus eight statutory days, and the option to buy additional or sell holiday days
