Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Location: Due to a promotion in our team, we are recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor to join our Operations team at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales. The successful candidate will be required to work a 4 shift pattern.

Your Future Team:

Reporting into the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and management of a team of operators within the Fabrication department, and ensuring that ROCKWOOL products are fabricated per the technical specifications.

What you will be doing:

Ensuring that products are being manufactured in accordance to the agreed specifications and in-line with the order requirements

Maintaining production costs to within budget, with a focus on achieving set KPI's

Actively taking part in continuous improvement activities looking at ways of reducing costs and improving efficiencies

Ensuring that the Fabrication shift operate in accordance with ISO9000

Maintaining compliance with the relevant environmental regulations and company targets, with any issues being raised to the Environmental Manager

Driving good housekeeping standards in all areas of the department

Ensuring the shift follow all Health & Safety regulations and guidelines to minimise the risk of any accidents that could cause an injury

Preparing shift reports giving an accurate overview of key figures and highlighting any issues during the shift

Managing the Fabrication shift in-line with the Union Agreement

Ensuring that quality checks are undertaken and the correct NCR procedure is undertaken when needed

Identifying areas of weakness in the shift and developing the operators to improve performance, and to aid with future succession planning

What you bring:

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment

Relevant qualifications for the role (IOSH/NEBOSH etc.)

Previous management/supervision experience

Ability to communicate at all levels

A proactive, hands on approach to leadership

Previous experience with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
