TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE – FULL TIME - PERMANENT

We are seeking to an appoint an outstanding candidate to join our Computing department at King David High School. King David High School has a strong tradition of academic excellence. Our examination results and value added are well above the national average. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach outstanding lessons. In return, they can expect well-motivated pupils and supportive colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hard-working, enthusiastic and ambitious classroom practitioner who is committed to ensuring that all students fulfil their academic potential at every key stage.

Computing is a popular subject in the school. It is taught throughout KS3 in dedicated computer suites, allowing students to experience a variety of appealing topics such as E-Safety, programming, technology, databases, website design and artificial intelligence to inspire a spark and underpin key fundamentals. This exciting scheme of work naturally leads into study at key stage 4, with Python as the main programming language. GCSE Computer Science is a popular option subject for many students and with healthy numbers at A Level, the popularity of the course attracts students from outside the school as well as within.

At King David, we pride ourselves on our strong Jewish ethos and we expect all our students and staff to embody the school motto, "let there be light through faith and work," in everything that we do.
