Qualified Social Workers needed for The Learning Disability and Autism Team in Reading - paying £38ph
The Learning Disability and Autism Team is a small, well-established team of social workers, care coordinators and an OT. We are looking for a Social Worker with experience of Learning Disability and Autism.
We work closely within individuals from transitions to adulthood and older age. We promote a strength base ethos to other the best outcomes for the individuals that we work with.
You will hold a varied caseload and contribute to the team performance and positive outcomes for our young people.
You will work within local RBC guidance, policies and procedures. A good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and its application, including Adult Safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act is essential. Any court experience is a bonus
You will join our small, friendly team and will be able to work flexibly at home and in the office. You will need to be within a commutable distance of Reading as you will be required to complete site visits or attend Team Meetings in the Civic Offices. Supervision is provided as well as support at team meetings every four weeks and team huddles every week.
To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 3 years post qualified experience working as a Qualified Social Worker within a similar team.
