Cuerden Care homes are currently recruiting a registered home Manager for a recently opened Specialist Care home. The home is in the Wigan area and has recently been fully refurbished to a very high standard.
This is an exciting time for a Manager to join a service that has been already set up with a full staff team.
The post holder would need to have a registered nursing qualification.The home has 54 beds and is in the early days of opening. The home caters for people who require specialist support with complex needs, mental health, neurodiversity and complex physical needs.
Cuerden Care has 4 Specialist care homes with over 260 beds of this nature and the appropriate person would be supported by a network of other home managers, clinical lead nurses, quality team and company directors.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has experience of clinical leadership or management and who is excited to help us build our new service.
All of our are homes are rated as "Good" with CQC and the home is fully staffed with a full team of nurses and support staff.
The right candidate needs to have a positive and can-do attitude, a friendly and approachable personality and a willingness to be able to work in a what can be a busy environment.
The role is varied role that includes:
Clinical leadership.
Management of a staff team.
Ensuring the home is compliant with all legislation and targets.
Ensuring excellent documentation within the home.
Supporting and valuing your staff team.
Ensuring safeguarding processes are followed.
Making sure everyone living in the home has an excellent quality of life.
The day to day management of the home.
Medicines management and oversight of the clinic.
Developing a positive, open and transparent culture.
Clinical Governance
Working alongside outside agencies.
Leading on assessments and referrals.
Managing risk within the home.
Managing incidents and accidents.
Positive leadership.
Adhering to policies and procedures.
Full support and training will be given to the right person by the Director, Quality manager and peer managers.
