Are you looking for long term job security with an industry leading company?


As one of the biggest names in Construction, this well respected Tier 1 contractor has a network of UK offices and a dedicated workforce; they are well known for working on some of the UK's most prestigious and landmark construction and engineering projects.


Their South West business unit have a healthy pipeline of work and recently secured a number of infrastructure schemes in Plymouth and are therefore in need of additional resource and looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.


The Job


You will be reporting into a Commercial Manager and required to take responsibility for the day to day commercial operations of your own schemes, which can be a range of civil engineering projects including highways, roads & infrastructure with contract values from £5m-£25m.


Duties will include procurement, measurement, valuations and payments alongside general commercial administration ensuring company procedures are complied with at all times.

Depending on the size and complexity of your projects, you should be comfortable working as part of a team or overseeing and mentoring less experienced members of staff.


The Person


Applicants will have previous Senior Quantity Surveying experience with a recognised main contractor, having led commercial functions various civil engineering schemes ideally, roads and infrastructure projects.


You should hold a relevant construction management or quantity surveying qualification at min HNC level or equivalent, have sound technical knowledge and possess strong communication and IT skills with the desire to progress your career and take on responsibility.
