GA Telesis (UK) Ltd is currently seeking a Accountant for its location in Leatherhead, UK, with requirements to be present at our Bournemouth location 2-3 days per month. Reporting to the Managing Director and Corporate Controller, this position is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department by assisting in accounts payable processing, accounts receivable, and month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate should be a self-starting team player, well organized and detailed oriented.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries and month end reconciliations for various accountsReview and process vendor invoices and expense reports Set up payments for approvalWork directly with Controller and Assistant Controller on the annual audit of GA Telesis (UK) LtdAssist in accounts receivable process including collections and cash applicationReconcile customer statements and monitor accounts for past due invoicesDevelop good communication and working relationships with customers to help facilitate on time payment and resolve issues quicklyProcess payroll and record monthly payroll journal entriesManage VAT reporting requirementsOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeStrong accounting background with 1-5 years work experience preferredDetail oriented with strong technical, analytical and organizational skills Ability to multi-task with an energetic and teamwork oriented work styleAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines and perform under demanding timelines and pressureProficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications:CPA designation is preferred
