Veterinary Nurse Position

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Shift Times:

  • 4 to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
  • No Weekends
  • No Out of Hours (OOH)

Join a reputable veterinary practice in Watford, Hertfordshire, committed to delivering top-notch care to our animal patients and exceptional service to their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.
  • Provide nursing care to in-patients, including monitoring vital signs.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate and support pet owners on post-treatment care and general animal health.
  • Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with a recognized qualification.
  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Proven experience in a veterinary practice environment.
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous locum experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using veterinary practice management software.
