Safety Case Engineer

Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking experienced Safety Case Engineers with a background in nuclear for permanent positions in various locations with hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Deterministic nuclear safety assessment for build and commissioning
  • Authoring of nuclear safety cases including results of deterministic and probabilistic analyses
  • ALARP assessments of facilities and equipment
  • Definition, agreement, and implementation of safety case requirements
  • Potential line management and development responsibilities
  • Management of internal and external interfaces

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Engineering or Physical Science degree in relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in safety analysis and safety case production
  • Experience in collaborative work in multi-discipline teams

Desirable:

  • Chartered Status or working toward it
  • Membership in a relevant institute or significant engineering experience
