Your new company
Hays is currently recruiting a global group with its headquarters here in Europe to recruit a Project Accountant. They design, develop and produce state-of-the-art equipment and software and this is a key member of the project team that will drive financial performance and reporting.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad role covering both commercial finance and financial reporting. It will include:

Finance Business partner with the business unit ensuring they are delivering agreed KPIsFinancially accountable for both internal and external reportingDaily liaison with customersPosting of journals to SAP and helping increase project accuracy Support in future bid processes, including cash flow information, assessment of tax, commercial or financial risks. Analysis and presentation of performance. Deputise for the Financial Controller where required. Financial Modelling and application of contract changes What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant, ideally with project accounting or long-term contract knowledge. It would be a bonus if you had used SAP and you should have advanced excel skills. In addition, you should have a strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive forward financial strategies. It would be beneficial if you worked in large matrix organisations.

What you'll get in return
The role offers a lot of flexibility with 1 -2 days per week in the office, although some travel will be required to other offices in the South West. In addition, they offer flexible working and a range of other benefits to suit you. Salary is competitive and comes with a bonus.
