Are you passionate about supporting positive behaviour in young learners? We have an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a primary school in Rochdale starting from September 2024.


Role:

  • Provide support to enhance behaviour and inclusion for identified pupils.
  • Offer 1:1 and small group support focusing on SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health Needs).
  • We welcome applications from Sports Coaches, Social Workers, Psychology & Youth Work Graduates.

Responsibilities:
The primary school seeks a Behaviour Mentor dedicated to fostering positive behaviours among pupils.

Candidates with experience managing challenging behaviours and a background in Support Work, Residential Support, or similar sectors are encouraged to apply, even without prior school-based experience.


Due to a rise in exclusions across mainstream schools, our school aims to bolster behavioural support to help students at risk of exclusion succeed.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN or behaviour support, ideally with children or young people.
  • Background in Youth Work, Social Care, Residential Care, or Sports Coaching is advantageous.
  • Ability to establish clear expectations and maintain a calm and nurturing approach.
  • Skilled in building positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds to support their social and academic progress.
