Purpose of the Job


In this role you will have a deep understanding of the Temporary Mains Services spanning Electrical, Mechanical and IT Services across events and exhibitions. Specifically, this role will be focused on understanding the client sales and ordering process to enable CBRE to provide the excellent service levels across mechanical and IT Services on all exhibitions, while also leading on Electrical services as required. Working in a dynamic environment you will have excellent Health and Safety awareness and be comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers, whilst maintaining a professional approach. You will work closely with the CBRE Supervisor, who will maintain overall responsibility for all services being delivered by CBRE. You may be required to provide cover for the Supervisor and will work closely with the Technical Events Team Contract Manager, and the Client. Working in this team, you will also become familiar with the other areas of the Technical Events Team in preparation of the site for Events and Exhibitions. This role will require a flexible approach and positive attitude. Including flexible shift patterns on an 'Annualised Hours' Contract.



Key Responsibilities



a) You will be reliable and have excellent planning and organisational skills.

b) You will be able to work under pressure with challenging deadlines.

c) Timely installation of Electrical services in line with event demands and to a professional standard



a) Document and report on asset condition including recommending upgrades and repairs.


b) Diligently manage the use of consumable stores items to prevent waste.



3. Administration

a) You will be able to ensure all tasks are documented in accordance with CBRE Managed Services procedures and policies, with a combination of paper forms and electronic software.

b) Computer Literacy is essential as you will be trained to input records into site specific programs.


4. Compliance

a) Ensure all works are undertaken according to CBRE Managed Services policies and procedures.



5. Health & Safety

a) Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out and ensure safe working practices.

b) Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.



6. General

a) Ensure a professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented to clients and visitors; and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.

b) Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.



7. Skills and Experience

a) NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Plumbing discipline

b) City & Guilds 18th Edition

c) Minimum 2 years leadership experience

d) Minimum 5 years Exhibition Experience

e) Excellent communication skills at all levels.

f) Organised and disciplined approach to work giving careful attention to detail.

g) Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook.
