Job Title:
Finance Analyst

A little bit about our team:

The Recorded Music (RM) Finance Department at WMG is responsible for overseeing the worldwide financial operations of the company's recorded music businesses.

This is done in partnership with the finance groups within the US corporate office and the international affiliates. The department's primary functions include financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, audit support and supporting financial system developments.

Your role:


You will be part of the RM financial analysis and control process, cash flow forecasting, key release analysis and quarterly digital reporting.

You will assist the central finance team with requests and projects across the Recorded Music division, as well as develop and improve department procedures and practices in line with internal control requirements.


Here you'll get to:

  • Analysis and critical review of affiliate financial submissions at each month end and forecast. Identifying and promptly investigating issues or anomalies.
  • Review and report on sales revenue from key digital partners and review variances against previous targets.
  • Collation, analysis and consolidation of regular cash flow and A&R reports from global divisions for the forecast and budget process. Follow up issues with divisional finance teams as required.
  • Collation and analysis of global physical sales and development of the sales reporting process.
  • WMG super user for the global sales system; act as main point of contact for affiliate queries and represent international finance requirements for system and report developments.
  • Maintain the WMG key release system for actual, forecast and budget submissions including updating titles and reconciliation to financial reporting systems.
  • Review WMG release schedule information, including liaison with marketing, affiliates and US labels to assist in timely and accurate submissions.
  • Review and report on key release sales data and review variances against previous targets. Follow up with territory finance teams on reporting issues.

  • Respond to various adhoc requests relating to financial analysis and reporting.

About you:

  • You have aBachelor's degree from a leading university with a 2:1 or higher.
  • You arenewly enrolled or partqualified accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
  • You arehighly numerate with strong attention to detail.
  • You have strong analytical skills and ability to work through problems logically.
  • You have good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with all staff levels
  • You are highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fastpaced environment
  • You are highly proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel.
