Campion School is a highly-aspirational and expanding school in the popular town of Leamington Spa.
At Campion we have identified vulnerable students or students working significantly below age related expectations, who require support in addition to the high-quality adaptive teaching that is already available in the secondary classroom. These students require a bespoke curriculum tailored to their needs which follows a primary Key Stage 2 model of teaching and learning. Class sizes will be small numbers of identified students in Years 7 to 9 who require additional support to develop their literacy and numeracy skills in preparation for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
The successful applicant will have worked in a primary school setting and be knowledgeable in the Key Stage 2 curriculum. They will have a dedicated classroom within the SEND department where the Learning Support Area is also located. They will be supported by the SENCo and Assistant SENCo to develop this new role and improve the life chances of our most vulnerable students.
