RC is a really exciting place to work and as we grow, we are looking for a caring, personable and empathetic Learning Support Mentor with a real flair for empowering people to join our Creative Industries Team.

The Creative team at CRC educate and care for learners from a wide range of ages from 16- Adult learners. We are looking for someone who can support students with the opportunity to support the wider team in the community. Every day is different, and you will be supporting our students in a wide range of subjects that help to promote their confidence, independence, employability, and self-reliance.

As part of the role, you will:

Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
Enable reasonable adjustments to help students to engage.
Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks.
Promote our college values.

What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:

GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent - or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
- Happy to undergo relevant training
- Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses
- Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential)
- A positive can do' attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable
- A team player yet also able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
