About The Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Trustee with expertise in financial management to join our team on a voluntary basis. As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our charity.

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to our mission of enhancing educational opportunities and fostering youth development. Specifically, we seek someone with:

  • Proficiency in financial oversight and strategic guidance.
  • Experience with accounting software, particularly FreeAgent, to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Skills in developing and monitoring budgets aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Ability to identify and manage financial risks effectively.

    Time Commitment:

    Approximately 1-2 hours per week, including attendance at occasional meetings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic financial oversight to ensure the long-term sustainability of NSEMM.
    • Utilise FreeAgent for accounting purposes, generating reports and assisting with charity filing and governance.
    • Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with our strategic goals.
    • Identify and manage financial risks, implementing controls to safeguard our resources.
    • Collaborate with fellow Trustees to uphold strong governance practices and regulatory compliance.
