This opportunity is available at our Swindon Road branch and offers hours per week with the potential for additional hours to cover holidays and absences. The working hours are based on a 4-week rota, ranging from 07.00am to 22.00pm, including weekends on a rotational basis.

Our competitive starting rates of pay begin at £11.44 for trainees and are experience-based for those with an NVQ2 dispensing qualification. In addition to a rewarding role, we provide 29 days of holiday per year (including all bank holidays), a 20% discount in all our shops, NEST pension scheme, discretionary Christmas bonus, and Blue Light Card membership.

As a Dispensing Assistant at Badham Pharmacy, you play a crucial role within our team, serving as one of the first points of contact for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing dosette trays for patients who require additional support in organizing their medication
  • Preparing and organizing prescriptions from local surgeries and customers
  • Supporting the medicines counter assistant and pharmacist
  • Engaging with customers to provide the right level of care and medication
  • Promoting additional services such as the Pharmacy First scheme

To be considered for this role, you must hold an NVQ2 in dispensing. Trainee dispensers will undergo the necessary training course with a review upon completion. We also support career progression by offering opportunities to enroll in advanced courses like the NVQ3 technician course, Accuracy Checking for Dispensers (ACD), or Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) courses.
