Team Vicar

Set in the stunning countryside of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you can be sure of a warm welcome from an active and supportive congregation.

Our three churches are integrated into the heart of the life of our village communities, offering a pattern of church services and events which value both church and village traditions alongside new expressions and ideas.

The agreed pattern of ministry for this house for duty post is to work two days plus Sunday each week.

The parish sits within the Risborough Team ministry which has good relationships between the team parishes and clergy. Main Responsibilities Positive involvement in village life and seeking opportunities to help people engage in church life. Sustaining Sunday worship and investing in the celebrations around the significant festivals. Providing pastoral care and occasional offices for people within the parish. Strengthening the spiritual life and growth in faith of the congregation.

We are looking for a Team Vicar who:
Is an approachable and energetic pastor. Enjoys working with people of all ages and will build on the work with young families. Is prayerful and has an engaging Christian faith. Will enjoy engaging with the life of our villages. Can balance traditional forms of worship with more contemporary approaches. Will encourage people to contribute to the life of the church.
