A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE FOOD & BEVERGAGE ADMINISTRATOR AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Head Chef with a dotted line to the Restaurant Manager, this role requires a combination of administrative skills, kitchen management knowledge and a passion for ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly. You can expect your working day to include the following:

Manage incoming calls, emails and correspondence related to kitchen operations.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to place orders, track deliveries and resolve any issues.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders and invoices using appropriate software.
Manage food inventory to include monthly stock take, and subsequent data entry on procure wizard software.
Administrative duties relating to allergen control, to maintain accurate records of all food ingredients used within the property.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations by maintaining detailed records of sanitation practices, equipment maintenance and team training.
Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping for the kitchen team.

To succeed in the role of Food & Beverage Administrator, you will need the following qualities and skills:

Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in the food and beverage industry or hospitality sector.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with customers, suppliers and team members.
Proficient in computer software, MS Office Suite and F&B management systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of F&B operations, food safety standards and hospitality trends would be a distinct advantage.
