We have high expectations of all students to be taught the best powerful knowledge as defined by the subject community. We believe all teaching should be evidence informed so teachers can focus on high impact methods in their practice with sensible implications on workload. Planning of lessons are based on principles derived from cognitive science and distributed through the department to drive collaboration. The department delivers CPD fortnightly that focuses on improving our subject and pedagogical knowledge. The culture of SPWT aims to support new and experienced teachers to thrive and continuously develop, within both their teaching and leadership.
