THE ROLE:

Our client, a global business are seeking a Spanish speaking Commercial Legal Counsel who will report into the Director of Risk Management and Legal Services for the EMEA region.

Looking after a wide geographical area, Latin America (Chile, Peru and Argentina), Middle East and North America the successful Commercial Legal Counsel will be required to advise the business on a wide range of subjects including contract law and related commercial matters.

These will include;

  • Contract negotiations/reviews
  • Dealing with any employment dispute, claims or litigations; attend mediation and other external meetings as required.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of on-going legal issues/cases/queries and ensure that matters are dealt with in line with standards and service level agreements.
  • Liaise with managers and decision makers with regard to on-going legal matters.
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with people within the Business, gaining the confidence of the Business

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate would be a qualified solicitor, with at least 4 years'
PQE with proven commercial contracts experience

  • Fluent Spanish speaker
  • Confident and able to build relationships with people in different parts of the world
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
Excellent time-management skills
