Description
- Manage and collect on debt portfolios
- Establish and maintain customer relationships
- Negotiate payment plans with customers
- Document all collection activities
- Adhere to all legal and company standards
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Update account status records and collection efforts
Profile
A successful Collections Specialist should have:
- A degree in Finance, Business Administration or relevant field
- Proven experience in a collections role
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g. FDCPA)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
