ACS International Schools are seeking an English Teacher to work at our Cobham campus in Surrey, UK. The teacher will be required to teach the American/AP/IB DP English to 16-18 year olds.

ACS Cobham's 128 acre campus is 25 miles from central London, offering world class facilities. We have a sports centre with a 25m indoor pool, gym, tennis courts, 400m track, playing fields, floodlit astroturf pitch, dance studio, performing arts centre with a 500+ seat auditorium, IT hubs, science labs, interactive learning centre, art and music studios, just to name a few.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:Bachelor's degree/Bachelor of EducationA teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/Teaching licence/certification or equivalent)2 or more years of post qualifying teaching experience to relevant age groupsSolid IB MYP/DP teaching knowledge and experienceStrong IT skills, preferably with Apple productsDemonstrates consistently high standards of personal and professional conductFluent in English both verbal and writtenSignificant experience and willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learningExperience of teaching in an international school is desirable but not essential.Accountabilities:Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students in a safe learning environment, rooted in mutual respectPlan and teach well-structured engaging lessons, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all studentsPromote student progress and outcomes, assess and provide feedbackDemonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledgeWork collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching and learning resources for students at different levelsPromote a love of learningOffer help to all students who need additional learning support, working with Resource teachers, including EAL and learning differences specialists, to support students with specific learning needsUndertake training, keep up-to-date on requirements and work as an advisor in the Pastoral Care programme, overseeing the day-to-day wellbeing of students to identify any student issues, problem-solving with the pastoral care team as required, liaising with parents/carers Participate in the extra-curricular programmeSupport with other duties to assist with the smooth running of the school.Safeguarding:
