Sales Support Administrator - Commercial Vehicles Position: Sales Support Administrator

Department: Sales

Reports to: Sales Manager

Location - Dorking

Hours - Monday to Friday - 37.5hrs a week

Salary - £28,500 + Bonus

Job Summary: The Sales Support Administrator for Commercial Vehicles plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by managing administrative tasks, coordinating between departments, and ensuring smooth and efficient sales operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

Assist the sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing quotes, processing orders, and maintaining customer records.

Manage and update the sales database, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, related to sales inquiries and customer support.

Order Processing:

Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

Coordinate with the logistics and finance departments to ensure timely delivery and invoicing.

Monitor the status of orders and provide updates to customers and sales team members.

Customer Relations:

Serve as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.

Maintain positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service and support.

Schedule and coordinate customer meetings, product demonstrations, and other sales-related events.

Sales Coordination:

Coordinate with the sales team to ensure alignment on sales strategies and targets.

Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

Track and report on sales metrics, providing insights to the sales manager.

Product Knowledge:

Maintain a thorough understanding of the commercial vehicle products and services offered.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Provide product information and support to the sales team and customers as needed.

Sales Support:

Support marketing initiatives by helping to prepare promotional materials and organizing events.

Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and budgets.

Perform other duties as assigned by the sales manager to support the overall sales effort.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in a sales support or administrative role, preferably within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Familiarity with CRM software and sales databases.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, typically requiring 40 hours per week.

The role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to customer sites or industry events as needed.
