POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales & Events Coordinator at London Marriott Hotel Park Lane will fully support the Director of Sales & Marketing as well as the Sales and Marketing Team in the form of basic proactive sales actions, sales administration, marketing duties (in the absence of Marketing Manager) and carrying out reactive event duties for both booking and planning new group and events.
By application of excellent organisational, communication and most importantly interpersonal skills this position is responsible for interacting with customers and clients on a regular basis by both phone and in person. The position is also responsible for taking on marketing duties in the absence of the Marketing Manager as well as preparing all event documentation and co-ordinating with hotel departments and the customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre, during and post-event phases of all events.
The Sales and Events Coordinator must have impeccable attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to be able to competently deliver all aspects of the role to the expected standard. The ability to multitask, prioritise and use initiative are key skills required for this role. This role will have direct client interaction in both person and on the phone, as well as administrative duties. Applicants should enjoy and be comfortable with engaging with clients in person in-order to forge long lasting relationships that benefit the business.
