To assist the EHS Manager and wider business management team in developing, implementing and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental standards throughout the site.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Support and advise all department managers in aspects of EHS Management and compliance.
- Work with department managers to implement a positive EHS culture.
- Promote a proactive EHS approach/attitude among employees through engagement, explanation and encouragement.
- Assist accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions.
- Assist the assessment of risk of machinery and activities including recommendations for modification.
- Assist with equipment and process design / modifications.
- Planning, preparing and conducting / assisting with internal and external EHS inspections and audits.
- Assist management in the implementation of new EHS procedures and systems.
- Monitoring and analysis of EHS data.
- Waste management and minimization processes.
- Assist in setting and monitoring KPI's for EHS, preparing any necessary reports or documents as requested by the business.
- Delivering and assisting in training of staff as and when required.
- Liaise with contractors where required and appropriate.
- Be actively involved in any process improvement or quality investigation with regard to EHS Matters.
- Assist in compliance to all aspects of EHS including ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Undertake other tasks within capabilities, in any department across the business, as requested by your Manager .
Essential Experience / Qualifications:
- EHS Qualification (any level).
- Computer Literate.
Personal Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly team working.
- Ability to achieve deadlines consistently.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Displays the FSG values of Integrity, Quality, Collaboration and Commitment.
