An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Directorate for highly enthusiastic and professional Domestic Assistants/Cleaners to be part of the Domestic Cleaning Team, based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
We are looking for individuals who have excellent interpersonal and communication skills who are well motivated, hard working and able to work as part of a team. In this busy role your highly reactive skills will be crucial while maintaining attention to detail, calm and professionalism. For more a more detailed description of the duties of this role, please see the attached job description.
Shift patterns available is a mix of part-time posts within the below working hours:
- 07:30-16:00
- 10:00-18:00
- 16:00-20:00
- 16:00-00:00
Previous experience of working within a Healthcare Environment would be advantageous but not essential as on the job training will be provided, therefore being a quick learner and having the ability to be flexible will be important.

The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.

Essential
- Basic numeracy and literacy.
- NVQ Level 2 Cleaning & Support Services or relevant cleaning qualification i.e. BICS or Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate
Essential
- To have worked in a service/customer environment or comparable experience of working within a similar environment.
- Previous working experience within an NHS environment within Domestic Services.
- To have an understanding of COSHH and risk assessments.
Essential
- Have a working knowledge of health and safety policies, infection control and work procedures.
- Working knowledge in the use of operating mechanical and electrical cleaning machinery.
