Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom Aberdeenshire Council Full time
Requirements

Location: Rosehearty Rural Area

Could you be instrumental in enabling people in their community to live as independently as possible? Are you the kind of person who wants more out of your job? Are you looking for a career that makes a real difference to people's lives in your community?

Home Care is evolving ..

The role of our Home carers has changed and is focusing now on four priority areas:- Enablement / Rapid Response / Complex and palliative care / Remote and rural areas

As a Home Carer with Aberdeenshire Council you will work alongside a team of professionals within Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership. You will be involved in providing specialist care and support to service users across these four priorities, to allow service users to build upon their skills and abilities to live independently, while promoting their rights, autonomy and choices. For more information about the changes in Home Care and the four service priorities, visit

As an employer, Aberdeenshire Council will provide and fund all required training including facilitation and attainment of an SVQ2 qualification. You will also be provided with your work uniform and all personal protective equipment (including an electronic hand held device) required to undertake the role safely and effectively.

So, if you are a caring, patient, compassionate, and adaptable individual who understands and respects the rights of other people, we would like to hear from you.

This role will require flexible, evening and weekend working.

Shift Pattern: Pick up hours that suit you. Mileage paid to and from home plus in between service users.

Please note, the position advertised does not meet the salary threshold required for sponsorship.

Informal Enquiries to: Jeanette Corbett
