Job Description:


As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing systems that adhere to FuSa standards and requirements.

Your role will involve delivering the functional safety property of the system architecture that incorporates multiple safety components while ensuring the highest level of safety, reliability, and fault tolerance in collaboration with a small team of design/verification engineers.

Your expertise will also be vital in improving and defining functional safety methodology for system safety developments in Arm.

Responsibilities:
Deliver functional safety work products for IP/SoC/Chiplets development (top-level detail specification, safety analysis, safety plan and safety case)

Design and document safety mechanisms and redundancies at both the hardware and system levels

Drive the completion of safety analysis (DFMEA, DFA, FTA, FMEDA) with the project team

Ensure the SoC design adheres to relevant functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262 for automotive or IEC 61508 for industrial applications.


Required Skills and Experience :
An engineering background with relevant education

Strong understanding of Functional Safety concepts and standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC

Should have completed at least one complete project that has FUSA

Experience in safety mechanism design, fault tolerance, and redundancy techniques.

Knowledge of safety analysis methods like DFMEA, DFA, FMEDA, and fault tree analysis.

Understanding of safety-related tools and methodologies used in SoC design and verification.

Familiarity with safety verification tools and methodologies, fault injection, and coverage analysis.

"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with digital design, hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL), and system-level design.

Familiarity with SoC architecture, integration, and software-hardware interactions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively.
