JOB DESCRIPTION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural Steel
In this critical Structural Engineer role you'll be the primary approver for all structural calculations, which will have a significant impact across our business.
You'll be responsible for improving the structural design process and efficiencies of our small, but very busy engineering design office.
You'll be involved in:
Creating calculation packs for our world leading Crane and Hoist Systems.
Carrying out customer site survey visits.
Communicating effectively with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth order flow.
In short, you'll be the go-to person for anything and all things Structural.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural Steel
You're already qualified to degree level or equivalent in Structural Engineering or a related field and have a proven track record of project delivery.
You will also:
Be able to create detailed calculation packs and have CAD systems experience to design 2D & 3D Parts and assemblies (Tekla is preferred although not essential as full training will be provided).
Show confidence in your work when discussing projects with various clients.Be able to work from heights on customer site visits.
Have experience in steel fabrication and a good understanding of the manufacturing process.
