This full-time, permanent role is based across multiple locations, supporting over 104 schools and a central office.

Role Overview As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all IT Department projects and coordinating the IT Department's contributions to broader group initiatives.

This role involves overseeing the technical onboarding of new schools, managing significant IT procurements, and ensuring seamless project delivery from inception to closure.

Your expertise will be critical in maintaining a high standard of IT service and support across a large, multi-site educational group.

Key Responsibilities Project Management: Deliver effective project management using methodologies such as Agile, Prince2, and ITIL, ensuring projects are efficiently managed from pre-project stages through to delivery and closure.

Technical Onboarding: Lead the technical onboarding process for new schools, providing both remote and onsite support during the first three months before transitioning responsibilities to the Technology Specialist team.

IT Procurement: Support the Head of IT in managing major procurements of software and hardware, ensuring compliance with procurement frameworks.

Crisis Management: Handle crisis situations involving complex technical issues, providing swift and effective resolutions.

Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric ethos within the IT Department, ensuring responsive and high-quality service to all stakeholders.

Requirements Essential: Proven experience in project management, particularly within IT.

Proficiency in managing virtualised and clustered Windows networks.

Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms, especially Azure.

Experience with Office 365 implementation and Windows client/server operating systems.

Extensive experience with hardware systems maintenance.

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and planning skills.

Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms and strong interpersonal skills.

Experience with IT Procurement Frameworks.

Desirable: Understanding of FaTS compliant procurement.

Experience working in the education sector or with young people.

Project Management qualification.

Personal Attributes Highly organised and capable of working autonomously or as part of a team.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
